Summer Fun!

May 25 was our last day of school! My teacher's name was Mrs. Tiffany Reece. She thought I was a very smart student! Mrs. Reece was very nice, and I will really miss my teacher and friends! But, Mom said I could visit my friends in the summer! Today, I get to go to Tweetsie with my best friend, Cady! I AM SO EXCITED because I will have fun with my friend!

Spring is Finally Here!

March 16, 2012

Today Dad, my brother and I (Mama was at a meeting at Watauga High) were almost out of Goat Run when Daddy screeched on the brakes.
''Why'd you stop, Daddy?'' I asked.
"I want to take a picture of the fog on the mountains!" he replied.
"It looks SO pretty,'' Brother chimed in.
So, Dad took 2 pictures. Snap! Snap, went the camera's clicks.
''DAD!!! I'm hungry! I wanna go to Stick Boy!'' my brother yelled.
While he was insisting we eat, I thought I would do a blog on this so, I did! Here it is.
HAPPY SPRING TO EVERYONE!

My Exercise

My Exercise

Running is not my type,
walking is a bore,
I don't want to gallop
to the grocery store.

Sleep-walking is so scarce,
but I'm afraid I'd fall
down the stairs

Jumping is for little kids,
skipping is okay...
But I'd like to go mountain climbing
today!

"Climbing" - a winter poem

Climbing

Climbing up a mountain, my nose is turning red,
Climbing up a mountain, I wish I was in bed.
Climbing up a mountain, I think it's so much fun,
Climbing up a mountain, we should do it, everyone.

Want I want for Christmas this year

This Christmas I want a Fijit Friend because they can speak more than 150 keywords, they can dance to your music and they make music too! I'd like to play with my Fijit Friend and show her to my friends.
It may be my favorite toy, but I know it won't be my best friend because my real best friend is a human named Ali!

Pocahontas Biography

Pocahontas was born in June 16, 1904. Pocahontas's real name was Matoaka which meant "little snow feather," but she went by the name Pocahontas which meant " energetic one." When the English colonists came, Pocahontas played and did cartwheels with the colonist kids.

Captain John Smith became her adopted brother. When Powhatan tried to kill John Smith, Pocahontas leapt forward and told Powhatan not to kill him. When Pocahontas was 10, the English brought rats! John recalled Powhatan almost jumped out of his skin!

A few years later, a man named Captain Josh kidnapped Pocahontas and took her to England to the king and queen of England. A man named John Rolfe wanted to marry Pocahontas and he did. When Pocahontas married John Rolfe, she brought 8 years of peace between the English and the Native Americans. Powhatan quickly agreed.

Pocahontas and John had a baby boy named Thomas Rolfe. Pocahontas died at age 22 of smallpox. Without Pocahontas, there might not be a U.S.A because she helped the colony be successful.
